What is PCR testing?
The PCR test is a test that detects whether or not the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus is present in a collected sample. PCR testing is recommended to determine if you are currently infected with the novel coronavirus.
PCR sample collection methods
Samples can be collected in the following two ways
● How to remove nasopharyngeal swab fluid from a patient’s nose and throat with a cotton swab
Method using saliva as a sample
Our clinic employs the “saliva test”. We have data showing that for the first few days after the onset of the disease, the disease is more present in saliva than in the “throat”. It does not cause discomfort to the patient and does not cause droplets from coughing or sneezing.
PCR test subjects
- Those without symptoms such as fever or fatigue (those who can collect saliva and put it into a container by themselves).
- Those who need negative proof of PCR test for novel coronavirus when traveling abroad, such as on a business trip or returning home
- Those who need negative proof of PCR test for novel coronavirus when traveling domestically, such as on a business trip
- Companies and organizations that need negative proof of PCR testing for novel coronavirus
- Needed prior to admission to the facility
- Those who need a pre-visit check for family members.
- Others who have no symptoms but wish to be confirmed by examination.
