Botox to block nerve transmission and
Dr. Kori-style “Hay Fever Botox” is a treatment method in which Botox is infiltrated into the nasal mucosa by a special technique without pain or side effects. It thoroughly improves painful symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and itchy eyes caused by hay fever without the side effects such as drowsiness and fatigue typical of rhinitis drugs.
Botox blocks acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, and is used in the treatment of facial wrinkles, face lifting, small face, and leg reduction. Its action of blocking nerve transmission is also effective for sweat lines and is used in the treatment of hyperhidrosis. This action of Botox allows it to penetrate the mucous membranes of the nose to stop excessive runny nose secretion and improve nasal congestion and itchy eyes.
In most cases, Botox is generally dripped or applied to the nose, but in the Dr. Kori method, Botox is implanted in the mucous membrane of the nose for a certain period of time using a special technique, so a higher effect can be expected.
The procedure takes about 15 minutes at most. Since no syringe is used, there is no pain and no side effects such as drowsiness or fatigue, so this is a recommended treatment method that does not interfere with daily life.
