What is otoplasty?

Otoplasty” is a surgical procedure to change the shape of the earlobe by making the scar less noticeable and enlarging the earlobe. Located on both sides of the face, the ears are surprisingly prominent parts. Just as each person’s face is different, so is the shape and size of the ears.
More and more men are wearing jewelry, and earlobe problems due to piercing are also occurring. In fact, there are many people who are dissatisfied with the shape of their ears, such as having pointed ear lobe or bent cartilage. Various surgeries can be performed to create a large, round shape, the so-called “Fukumimi,” or to adjust the shape and size of the ear to one of the two sides if they are different in shape or size.
