Redness and blood vessels may appear on the face and legs as fine threads or spider webs. This is because the capillaries in the dermis, which lies beneath the epidermis, have dilated for some reason and are visible through the skin surface. This symptom is called telangiectasia.
In fact, lasers are the most effective treatment. The YAG laser used to treat redness has the property of being absorbed by hemoglobin, which wraps around the blood vessels in a whole, gradually weakening the blood flow and coagulating it, making the raised capillaries less noticeable.
