What is Ultra Pulse Encore?
Effective in improving sagging and skin texture
The CO₂ laser (carbon dioxide laser) has a wavelength of 10600 nm and is easily absorbed by water. Therefore, when irradiated to the skin, the laser light reacts with moisture in the tissue and generates heat.
This CO₂ laser, Ultra Pulse Ancore, uses a fractional handpiece with a spot size of 0.12 mm to provide fractional transpiration at a maximum depth of 3.5 mm.
The ultra-short pulse width (the time it takes to irradiate the laser) shortens the time it takes for heat to be transmitted to the surrounding tissue and efficiently delivers heat energy deep into the skin.
In addition to improving wrinkles and sagging skin by utilizing the skin’s contractile effect, it also promotes the regeneration and increase of collagen and elastin by the skin’s self-regenerating ability, leading to firmer, tighter skin.
The Ultra Pulse Ancore feature allows for the treatment of sagging eyelids without incision as in a surgical procedure. In addition to sagging cheeks and wrinkles, this machine is effective in improving various skin problems such as badly left acne scars and keloids.
Ultra Pulse Encore Features
This machine achieves the deepest depth of up to 3.5 mm among existing CO₂ lasers. It is capable of short-time, high-energy irradiation and non-carbonizing evaporation with minimal impact on surrounding tissues. It is also characterized by less pain and faster healing.
As mentioned above, it can improve sagging skin, pore size, and deep wrinkles. Also, by changing the fractional handpiece, moles, warts, boils, raised birthmarks, and acne can be treated.
It is also suitable for deep acne scars, scarring, and trauma treatment as it reaches a maximum depth of 3.5mm.
In addition, the “Fractional Handpiece DeepFX™” is a handpiece used for this machine. The irradiation pattern is fractional. The irradiation pattern is performed in the form of dots with a diameter of 0.12 mm, which are microscopic dots that reach deep into the dermis layer with pinpoint accuracy, enabling treatment of deep wrinkles and scars. The irradiation pattern, density, and area of irradiation can be adjusted to provide the best treatment for each patient’s symptoms.
Precautions for treatment / Aftercare
- Please refrain from wearing makeup, washing your face, or bathing for 24 hours after your treatment.
- Please take sufficient measures against UV rays after the treatment.
- Please moisturize thoroughly after the treatment.
- Downtime: 7 to 10 days
- After treatment, there will be a burning sensation, mild swelling and redness that feels like after sunburn, but will settle down with firm cooling.
- Redness is mostly lightened the next day, although it varies from person to person depending on the degree of treatment and skin condition.
- After 2 days, a dotted scab forms on the skin, making it look somewhat rough, but after about 7 to 10 days, it peels off completely and the skin gradually returns brighter and smoother.
- Depending on the irradiation power, spot bleeding may occur. Usually, this will normalize within about 1 week, but recovery may take 2 to 4 weeks depending on the power output and skin type.
